About us - Field Trip Focus

Field Trip Focus is the sister company of trekMountains, a tour-operator business that has been running school and scout expeditions, trekking and walking holidays for 8 years to Italy, the Alps, the Himalaya, East Africa and Morocco.

Field Trip Focus and trekMountains are run by Ann Foulkes and Steve Holton.

ANN FOULKES

Ann Foulkes has been teaching iGCSE Geography in Italy where she lived for 5 years, team-teaching with Italian teachers. She is a qualified secondary school teacher and also a teacher of English as a Foreign Language,

Ann is also a qualified International Mountain Leader and has led over 75 field trips, expeditions and walking holidays on a professional basis since 2004.

Seeing that there was a need for quality field trips tailored to fulfil the requirements of the curriculum, she started to organise field trips for her own students.

Now back in her beloved Lake District in the UK, she loves to inspire students with her passion for the Lakes and the spectacular Italian Dolomites .

STEVE HOLTON

Having a background in Industrial Chemistry, Steve has decided it is time to turn his back on the life of a CEO and is very happy to return to the Lake District, a place that inspired him in his own youth, to pursue his passions of walking, flying and cycling, and introducing young people to the outdoor classroom.
